Ginny's is an amazing and unique experience in Austin. It is a small (very, very small) place that gets packed every Sunday. It has the feel of a small town Texas bar. It is hard to believe it is in the middle of Austin.

I took my father here one Sunday afternoon. We were able to see a great Dale Watson show for free! According to the website, shows are always free. What a treat to see locally famous bands for free in a dive bar.
People of all ages and styles were there. Everyone was in great spirits and there was a communal feel about it. The bar is strictly beer, although I hear that you can bring liquor in and they will set you up with anything you need.
Of course, aside from the show, there were free hot dogs and there was Chicken S--t bingo. Ginny's is a good time all around.
