Stubb's outdoor stage is one of my favorite places to watch music in Austin. The sound outdoors is usually excellent, and with the standing area being on a slight hill, you can almost always find a place with a good view of the stage.
As a bonus, you can stop in early and get some great BBQ (I like the beef ribs here). It's also pretty easy to park as there are a few free spots on 10th and 11th, but if you don't want to bother, there is a quick and easy parking lot across the street that always has spots for $5.
