Tazza Fresca is truly a coffeehouse. It just happens to be a coffeehouse that allows some local musicians to play in the corner while people study. This is not to say that the music isn't good. It is. I have a few friends who play there from time to time. But aside from the people who know the band, there are very few people who have come to hear the music. Many patrons even keep their iPods on while the show is going.
The indoor space is small, so if you plan to see the band, come on time or the seats could be gone. The service is slow, so expect to wait. But if you know people playing a show there, go and support them and enjoy the intimate setting.
