Broken Spoke, Austin Texas
With all the urban development in Austin these days, it is easy to forget you are in Texas. Unless you walk into the Broken Spoke.
The Broken Spoke is nice. They have good, local country, down-home music for the good ole boys. Unless you come on Tuesday, be prepared for a hefty cover charge (around 10 bucks usually)
The atmosphere is what sets it apart and makes it worth at least one trip. The ceilings are low, they serve chicken fried steak, and the two-stepping is hot.
