Wooldridge Square Park is bordered by the County Courthouse on the north and the Austin History Center on south. Wooldridge is home to Sunday evening summer concerts sponsored by the Hartman Foundation. Austin Parks Foundation brings you knee-high chess every Saturday afternoon.
In late 2005, the City of Austin Public Works Department replaced sidewalks on three sides of the park and removed a number of dying trees. These trees are due to be replaced once drought conditions ease. APF will continue to advocate for other Wooldridge improvements such as a new sprinkler system. In 2007, The Downtown Austin Alliance Parks Committee commissioned a historical and use study of Wooldridge to determine next steps for possible improvements to this park
